Worst Day Ever
It all started with an case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't make it to look right. As I was running out the door, I trippedon and with a thud all over the floor. To make matters worse, I was extremely running behind for a very important appointment.
I arrived. My {boss|friend|was absolutely furious. I tried to explain, but it was pointless.
The rest of the day was an absolute nightmare. Everything. I get anything done.
By the time I got home, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a true disaster.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to run away and hide.
